Daniel Timo Behrens is Product Development Manager at MedSkin Solutions Dr. Suwelack AG. In this role he is responsible for coordination of innovative technology and medical device product development projects in the field of wound healing, tissue reinforcement and tissue regeneration. His activities range from basic scientific investigations and networking, technology ideation assessments, innovation ideation implementation, planning and execution of medical device development projects to design control development and industrial implementation in context of respective medical device regulatory requirements.
With his strong background in biotechnology, biochemistry, extracellular matrix, collagens, skin biology, human skin extracellular matrix suprastructures, biomaterials and respective industrial implementation, he is the scientific supervisor for the development of a dermal tissue based authentic collagen matrix for medical application (ESR5) in the industrial environment.
